I shot this lion (with my Canon Rebel
XTi).
O, what a harrowing near death experience, with many narrow escapes!
Surely, any lesser man would have turned-tail and run,.... or been devoured by this unpredictable, savage beast. But my uncommon strength,
courage, and cunning prevailed, and I got a direct shot and I beat the beast!
As for my shameless immodesty, I am merely maintaining an African tradition and proverb:
Until
lions have their own “storytellers,” tales of the lion hunt will always glorify
the hunter.
